Microsoft – Retail Promotions Planner Extranet

In order to provide marketing support for their Windows Mobile technologies, Microsoft commissioned a retail promotion extranet. Each of the 7 key markets has a Product Manager who has relationships with retailers and works with partners, eg Motorola and Orange and this extranet was developed to support them.

The password protected, asp.net based extranet site provided guidelines and tools for the project managers to deploy retail promotions. The functional elements of the site included a promotions calendar which was shared across the team but with personal dates and the ability to download and insert into Outlook. Project managers could upload case studies via a simple online form which was managed by a administrative level user. The site also included a 3D flythrough of the instore environment demonstrating the point-of-sale materials in-situ. Content management of the site was handled using Macromedia Contribute.

The iProduct team developed not only the site but photographed, modelled and animated the 3D virtual store tour.
