Royal Bank of Scotland Group – Retail Controls
Royal Bank of Scotland Group is one of the worlds leading financial services
organisations and e-learning plays a pivotal role in its training operations.
As one of the Bank’s preferred suppliers we have produced a variety
of innovative e-learning programs for them over the last few years.
Our most recent undertaking is a new program entitled Retail Controls which contains important security and procedural information relevant to a wide audience within the Bank. As ever, we have focused upon using innovative interactive techniques to make the subject matter engaging and prevent the program from simply being the electronic equivalent of reading a manual. To achieve this, we have adopted a striking visual appearance (making extensive use of Macromedia Flash technology) to convey a series of scenarios which illustrate everyday dilemmas faced by a number of fictional Bank employees. Throughout these scenarios, their performance is rated by user who is also prompted to offer their own solutions to the problems described. At the end of the program, the user requires to sit a scored assessment to demonstrate that they have followed and understood the material.
As with all our projects for RBS, the program complies with a number of technical standards, including DDA compliance and the Bank’s own guidelines for interfacing with its Learning Management System.
